What’s happening with Ambler Road?
The No Ambler Road Coalition has been working together for the last several years, sharing resources, educating Alaskans, and even pursuing legal action to prevent the project. Despite these efforts, keeping track of the constantly changing Ambler Road proposal can be confusing.
We have an opportunity to partner with TrueBlue Strategies to lift Ambler Road up to the national spotlight with a campaign strategy including branding, a website, social media toolkits, communications, and targeted advertisements from a team of strategic communicators. With their expertise and support, we will launch a coalition website to provide a one-stop-shop for all things Ambler Road, including background information, potential impacts to health, environment, and culture, status updates on the permitting and legal processes, and calls to action. TrueBlue Strategies’ staff know Alaska’s interests and have helped run successful campaigns like Stop Pebble Mine and No SuDam through organized outreach, smart visual design, and effective information sharing.
As you know, the Ambler Road would alter one of the last great roadless landscapes in the world, causing significant and irreversible ecological and social impacts to the Brooks Range, the wildlife, and the people who call it home. Information is power. By expanding our audience across Alaska and the United States, we will grow our collective power as we work to prevent this disastrous road from being built.
