The Northern Alaska Environmental Center will be in New York for Climate Week 2026, connecting with partners, funders, advocates, and community leaders working on climate, energy, conservation, and environmental justice issues across the country.
While in New York, we’ll be sharing perspectives from northern and Interior Alaska, building new relationships, and highlighting the importance of ensuring Alaska communities have a meaningful voice in decisions about energy development, public lands, climate policy, and the future of our region.
We’ll also be participating in conversations with partners working across Alaska and beyond, with a focus on collaboration, community-led solutions, and bringing greater attention to the rapidly changing policy and development landscape in the North.
If you’ll be in New York during Climate Week and would like to connect with NAEC, please reach out to Krystal Lapp, Interim Executive Director, at klapp@northern.org
