The Context

This April, the Bureau of Land Management will release a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the first-ever comprehensive Area-Wide plan for the NPR-A, our Nation's largest piece of public land.  Citizen involvement is needed to ensure that the BLM's plan encompasses the full range of values of the lands and their future management.  NPR-A's values includes rich wildlife habitat, subsistence and culture, wild rivers, and arctic animals- not just oil and gas leasing.  Stay tuned for the plan to and learn how to amplify your voice to work towards a bright, balanced future for the Western Arctic.
