BLM seeks public comment on the future of the White Mountains as part of a plan for 6.7 million acres that also covers Steese National Conservation Area, the Fortymile Area, and Upper Black River region; 3 Wild and Scenic Rivers (Beaver Creek, Birch Creek, and Fortymile) and Pinnell Mountain National Recreation Trail. The White Mountains National Recreation Area is Fairbanks’ backyard playground of accessible wild lands in winter and summer. Come help keep it the way it is!
