Oil and Gas Development in Polar Bear Habitats, NWF & NAEC, Double Trouble for Polar Bears

The area proposed by the U.S. Department of the Interior as critical habitat for polar bears (green shading) overlaps extensively with areas the agendy has also designated for oil and gas development, including several locations recently permitted for exploratory drilling.
