Don’t Be Fuelish
Learn more about this fun FNSB program to raise awareness about fossil fuel usage and alternative options to save fuel, money, and to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Don’t Be Fuelish Fairbanks! This summer you can help make a difference by participating in the 5th Annual Don’t Be Fuelish competition! Come and be part of a community-wide effort to reduce fuel consumption by promoting biking and walking, or running to work, riding the bus, and car pooling. Local organizations will compete from April 1st through September 30th to see which group of employees can save the most fuel traveling to and from work without driving alone in a motor vehicle. It’s good for your health, it’s good for the air, and it’s good for your wallet!
History
Don't Be Fuelish started in the spring of 2007 as a friendly competition between Fairbanks North Star Borough businesses and agencies to see who could save the most fossil fuel mileage by taking alternative modes of transportation.
